I’ve always loved reading. I was introduced to Nancy Drew in third grade; in fourth grade, the forty-fifth book of the series—The Spider Sapphire Mystery-- was published. I can remember thinking that Carolyn Keene must be really old, and I was surprised she was still alive and writing Nancy Drew books!
My tastes would vary from mysteries to adventure books, biographies, histories, books about animals, and poetry.
While today, children (and adults) watch online videos to figure out how to do something, I always knew that I could find an answer in a book.
Our home is full of books; thankfully, my husband has a great appreciation for books, also. It seems that we add a new bookshelf to our home more often than most people add a new book.
Yes, the picture above is of me. I don’t remember what I was reading.
